Hope this finds you all well.

A few updates for you about the club after the confirmation from the FM today that the proposed relaxation of rules next week is going ahead.

On the cricket side the players including juniors have started training in advance of the season. We are due to start our senior league programme on 22/5/21 and the season is planned to last into September. Subject to Cricket Scotland issuing guidance we also hope to have a couple of friendlies prior to the start of the season.

Inside the club Jake Dirom has had his painting brush in hand again and the entrance area and the hall to the changing rooms have been repainted. There is new LED lighting installed in the changing room area and the lounge resulting in very much brighter lighting on par with the Batcave.

The club will reopen on Saturday 1/5/21 and I will be in touch this weekend with all the details including the process for booking a place that first weekend after we have plotted out the benches again. As you will have noticed the benches have all been away for the winter due to the behaviour of some while the club was closed. In addition to this we have further secured all areas of the club the best we can including extra pad bolts and more CCTV cameras. A big thank you to David Grant and to Jake for facilitating these changes we were forced to make.

We look forward to seeing you all soon and until then stay safe.

Kind regards

Steven Mclaren
Covid Officer
