Fishy XI Match Preview
Home (away) to GHK

Match umpires: Michael Nash and Michael MacFires

GHK are anther team who are desperate for a win on Saturday to avoid relegation - they’re currently third bottom with Helensburgh the Glasgow Accies below. GHK have only won 3 out of 14 games though. They too have recently beaten Kelburne by 31 runs. Both us and them are obviously desperate for a win this weekend as losing this one will prevent us from promotion to the premier league. So let’s continue to work well on the pitch and keep the positive results coming. Same as usual lads, I’ll leave the team’s stats below.

No overseas amateurs or pros!

Batting wise:
13th top run scorer in league is their top runner, A Rafiq with 265. He scored 57 against Irvine and 53* against Helensburgh. He’s got an estimate average for 20 runs.
M Karman not to far behind with 221. He scored 61 against Irvine and 53* against Helensburgh too. He’s got an estimated average of 17 runs
In a cluster below that; A Akbar (184), A Shoukat (180) and M Ahmed (179) are each with in a few runs with each other.
Looking at total runs; we each have five bast,en who have scored over 100 this season. However GHK’s batmen have, in total, scored more runs than us.

Bowling wise:
A Akbar (28) has most wickets this season, an average 13.5, and an economy of 3.4
M Ahmed (15) has second most wickets for the team, but is a very expensive bowler. He has at least 20 runs average between wickets and gets hit for at least 4 per over.
Z Iqbal has 12 wickets and is also an expensive bowler. Don’t have any averages or economy’s on him tho.
F Ul-haq has only has 10 wickets. He’s got an average of 17 and an econ of 4.1.
With regards to bowling; the top wickets takers are more expensive and vice versa. They’ve got bowlers who don’t typically get as many wickets but can keep the over to the dot.

Fielding wise:
Only player in team with more than 7 catches is Z Mirza (10)
They’ve not stumped a single player this season.

NOTE: stats haven’t updated since Sunday. So depending on when full scorecards were submitted last weekend, some stats may be inaccurate.

Looking at their team as a whole, their bowling attack looks very tactical. Who they’ll rely on to take wickets will cost the team more runs and again, vice versa. GHK are on edge now as they face chances of relegation to 2nd dev. Accies are playing Helensburgh this weekend at Ardencaple, so the winner will make their way to 3rd place, assuming we beat GHK. Also Kelburne must beat EK in order for a chance for us to be promoted as you all probably know. Anyway, I’m not scoring for first XI this week, but will be for 2s, if needed. I’ll hopefully see you all at some point this weekend. Best of luck this weekend boys, don’t let the pressure get to you too much!
