On this day four years ago, Stenhousemuir Cricket Club concluded a memorable championship season by winning the WDCU First Division, now known as Premiership Two.

The title-winning season was wrapped up in style at The Tryst, where we beat Stirling County during our Beer Festival weekend.

Across 18 league matches, we won 17, lost just 1, and remarkably, not a single game was lost to rain that summer.

Danie Rossouw – 1,099 league runs
Callum Grant – 54 wickets at an average of 4.94, plus 372 runs with the bat
Praveen Pinnamaneni – 32 wickets at an economy rate of 2.80

Fast forward four years and we are now in our fourth consecutive season in Premiership One, with the First XI finishing strongly each year:

2023: 4th
2024: 4th
2025: 5th

And now, as we head into the final match of the 2026 season, the team is guaranteed to finish 3rd or higher.

Tomorrow, we travel to Ferguslie, who currently sit 2nd in the table. We are joint on PTS%, and with first place now out of reach, tomorrow's winner will finish the season 2nd ?.
