Stenhousemuir Cricket Club has a long, rich and remarkable history. Since its formation in 1876, the club has played an important role in the local community, creating friendships, memories and a shared sense of identity across generations.

Stenhousemuir is one of Scotlands foremost cricket clubs. During a golden era from the 1950s through to the early 2000s, Stenhousemuir was amongst the most dominant clubs in the country, reaching five Scottish cup finals (winning two) and winning a myriad of other titles over and above. It was a time full of great players, big matches, strong characters and real pride in the club.

John MacNeil has been researching the club’s history, in depth, over the last few years. He has spent time speaking with former players, officials, committee members and supporters, gathering stories, photographs and memories that may otherwise be lost. The book reflects not only what happened on the field, but the people who gave their time, commitment and heart to the club over the decades.

This project hopes to preserve and celebrate the history of a club that has meant a great deal to so many. We believe it will be valued by the local community, past and present players, and anyone connected to the club.

If you would like to donate towards the printing of our 150th Anniversary book, please use the link in the post to our Crowd Funder page. The funds raised will go directly towards printing and publishing the first run of the book, so that these stories can be kept, shared and remembered.
