Murray Peden Trophy Returns
The first event to mark our 150th Anniversary season sees the return of the Murray Peden Trophy — a special fixture with deep roots in our club’s history.
Taking place at The Tryst on Sunday 19th April, this match honours Murray Peden, a Scottish international cricketer who represented both Stenhousemuir CC and Dunfermline CC. Murray sadly passed away in 1978 during his prime playing years, and the trophy was created in his memory.
The two clubs competed annually for the trophy from 1978, with Dunfermline winning the inaugural match. Over the years, Stenhousemuir claimed 9 victories, Dunfermline 5, with 5 matches abandoned due to rain.
The fixture came to an end in 1996 when both clubs played in the Scottish National Cricket League. But as part of our milestone anniversary season, we’re proud to bring it back.

We would love to see as many members, former players and supporters down at The Tryst to support the team and be part of a special day for the club.
